Coupang Eats is a new service by Coupang where we deliver quality food and beverages from restaurants and cafes to your door. We build the Merchant app, Point of Sale app, tools for Stores and operations center. We aspire to provide fast and seamless customer order processing and management experience for our merchants. As part of Merchant Systems engineering organization, you will be responsible for building core systems for thousands of merchants which directly impact the selection for millions of customers who order on the Coupang Eats platform. You need to closely partner with business stakeholders and deliver growth in a fast-paced environment.

  • Own end to end Eats Merchant service

  • Build this ecosystem with exciting tech stacks such as Cloud Native (AWS), MSA, Spring boot, JPA, Elastic stack, Docker, Kafka, Redis, MySQL, Cassandra etc

  • Obsesses over site reliability to guarantee an effortless shopping experience

  • Is truly global, with teams located at Seoul, Shanghai, Beijing and Bay area

[Responsibilities]

In this role, you will be:

  • Write well designed, testable, efficient codes by using best software development practices

  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs

  • Design scalable architecture, system and implement the products from scratch

  • Taking responsibility of code review/design review committee, and raise up the bar of

    engineering excellence

  • Performing key engineer role to make decision on system design

  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations

    and activities

[Basic Qualifications]

  • Bachelor or above degree in Computer Science or related

  • 4+ years of solid work with large distributed systems, system design, and algorithms

  • 4+ years of coding experience in Java or other object-oriented programming languages

  • Experience with object-oriented programming and expert in Java or other languages
  • Experience design and building large scale services, and operating experiences

  • Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills

  • Familiar on AWS, Spring framework

[Preferred Qualifications]

  • Experience from e-commerce, O2O industry

  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Expertise in leading delivery logistics of large-scale services for complex business offerings

  • Fluent in English speaking and writing (Preferred)

  • Geo, logistic development experience is plus

Document Return Policy
