Position Overview:

Staff Accountant at Teledyne is responsible for compliance to GAAP, SOX404 and internal company policies and procedures.  This position will analyze, prepare and report financial information in a consistent and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process and analyze financial information for the field services business segment and provide relevant and timely reporting to support Senior Management.

• Finance point of contact for the administration and monitoring of customer funded research and development programs.

• Play an active role in the evaluation, selection and/or implementation of new business processes/applications and customizations.

• Overall general review of accounting procedures/practices and reporting to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Teledyne Corporate guidelines.

• Maintain documentation on internal control and accounting processes for Corporate and Sarbanes Oxley 404 compliance.

Education and Experience:

• ·Bachelor’s Degree - Accounting

• Manufacturing/Costing experience a plus.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to identify and/or recognize accounting issues/processes that can be improved upon and develop innovative appropriate approaches for implementation.

• Ability to maintain a service-oriented approach to all activities and work effectively with various departments and operations.

• Ability to work individually and in a team environment.

• Proficient in MS Office programs, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

• Active role in IFS (accounting/information system) maintenance and upgrade process.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
