This role focuses on driving the technology roadmap for Strategy &Growth, enabling strategic decision-making that directly impacts Novartis' success through effective product roadmaps, market analysis, and acquisition evaluations. Strategy & Growth aims to provide a unified view of Novartis’ strategy across the RDC continuum, guiding planning and execution. Imagine the IT partnership opportunities you could bring!
As a consultant and advisor, you will lead improvements in global business processes, products, and services. We seek an experienced individual in the S&G IT space to deliver solutions that redefine how Novartis operates. You will analyze business requirements, develop functional specifications, and collaborate cross-functionally to transform these into technical requirements. Additionally, you will develop end-to-end business process workflows, engage with global business leaders, and leverage IT teams to deliver data-driven recommendations that enhance efficiency and generate value.


 

Job Description

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop end-to-end business process flow diagrams and highlight gaps in existing functionality.

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand business process dependencies and develop comprehensive requirement specifications.

  • Liaise with service development teams to suggest high-level functional solutions and ensure stakeholder involvement in new services or major upgrades.

  • Ensure consistency and traceability between user requirements, functional specifications, and testing & validation, while adhering to Security and Compliance policies.

  • Perform change impact assessments and develop compliant approaches to development and deployment.

  • Stay updated with internal IT systems, documentation standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Drive change management, ensure solutions meet specifications, support super user training, and have a solution-oriented mindset.

Role Requirements:

  • University degree in Informatics, Computer Sciences, Life Sciences, or similar.

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in the Pharma or IT Industry. Knowledge of Drug Research, Development or Commercialization portfolios would be an advantage.

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a business analyst, process expert, or business IT lead superuser.

  • Expert understanding of business process analysis, design, and system architecture concepts.

  • Ability to solve complex business process and information challenges.

  • Proficient skills in global teams, collaboration, facilitation, negotiation, working in a matrix environment, and conflict resolution.

  • Working knowledge of product management and agile methodologies.

  • Experience as a Product Owner for platforms or large complex solutions.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of CSV lifecycle.

  • Exposure to digital innovation projects, data strategy, data science, or data standardization.
