Sr QA Automation Engineer (Selenium, Java, API, Restful)

Scope:

• Assists team members in supporting customer and implementation-related issues.
• Provides inputs in defect triage meetings and assists team members in troubleshooting the root cause of complex customer issues.
• Participates in reviews of automated and manual tests and frequently suggests options to improve coverage and quality.
• Works with the team in setting the quality standards for a product. Works towards effective utilization of test management (such as HP QC and JIRA) and test execution tools (automation frameworks) for a project's needs.

What you’ll do:

• Develops and maintains test cases for a relevant product. Develops and maintains test data for a product. Executes the test cases and scenarios of all major modules and publishes the results.
• Writes and maintains the test automation scripts. Reviews automated and manual tests, and suggests options to improve coverage and quality.
• Identifies and implements quality improvement suggestions within the team. Identifies and reports software defects in an appropriate manner and follows the defined defect lifecycle.
• Works as required with appropriate parties to plan test resource requirements.
• Provides required inputs in the planning and execution of system and regression testing.
• Understands business requirements provided. Follows standard development processes and procedures. Plans and prioritizes work tasks with input from their manager. Proactively notifies managers of impairments to commitments.
• Assists in the collection of test metrics, understands the trends, and suggest appropriate corrective actions.
• Participates with the entire team in setting the quality standards for a product. Provides cross-training and education to test personnel as required.
• Provides training, guidance, and feedback to testing team members.

What we are looking for:

• 5-8 years of QA Automation Engineer with expertise in both manual and automation testing.
• Perform API testing with a good understanding of RESTful services and tools like Postman or similar.
• Conduct integration testing across complex systems, including Kafka, RESTful APIs, and other middleware components.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as WebDriver IO, Rest Assured, and Fitnesse.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git, or Azure DevOps
• Experience or knowledge in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or the supply chain domain is a plus
• Often provides training, guidance, and feedback to testing team members. Is part of a self-organized agile team and interacts with team members on release deliverables.
• Is responsible to install and configure large and complex systems for solution testing and test drives with minimal support.
• Is capable of writing and maintaining the test automation scripts along with developing and maintaining the test automation (such as UI, Batch, and API) frameworks.
