The Role:

Kitsch is looking for Sr. Director of Technology is to lead and oversee the development and implementation of innovative technology solutions and drive technological excellence throughout the company. This role will lead and direct work across teams to define and execute short-and long-term technology roadmaps. As with any fast growing company, we need a leader and a do-er; someone who can develop a strategy and delegate appropriately but also get in the weeds and execute programs, no matter how tactical.
Job Description

  • Oversee and manage the rollout of new features, product updates, merchandising, site optimizations, A/B tests and other digital projects by conducting analyses and building out project plans and timelines that support the strategic roadmap
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute the company's technology vision and strategy.
  • Partner with Growth, Marketing and Design to optimize customer journey, including landing page creation, user testing, and conversion rate optimization
  • Partner with Marketing and Design to develop the best user experience, including landing page creation for new product launches 
  • Partner with the Growth, Marketing and Design teams to enhance the digital experience, while anticipating and resolving key pain points to reduce friction, increase brand equity, and support growth and retention goals
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to understand their technology needs and provide solutions accordingly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external technology partners and vendors.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of technology systems, data, and infrastructure.
  • Develop and enforce security policies and compliance standards.
  • Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Weigh impact vs. effort through our prioritization framework, develop KPIs, and work with Engineering & Growth to execute tests with the biggest chance to impact revenue.
  • Manage the technology budget, including forecasting, cost control & resource allocation.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization while maintaining technology effectiveness.
  • Provide weekly/monthly reports and updates to senior management on technology performance, project status, and key metrics.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive improvements.

Core Competencies and Qualifications
  • Extensive understanding of the technology and ecommerce landscape, including features, functionality, and best practices 
  • In-depth experience in A/B testing, site optimization and personalization, product development, and UX design best practices 
  • Self-starter; entrepreneurial, “roll up your sleeves” attitude
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, as this role will require regular interaction with department & executive leadership
