The DISA IT Business Area is seeking a qualified Senior Capture Manager for DISA and 4th Estate Agency opportunities
The Senior Capture Manager is responsible for the capture leadership of assigned opportunities in support of the Business Area growth strategy across new and existing competitive procurements. The Senior Capture Manager must thrive in an environment where they are responsible for the management and execution of the full Capture life-cycle process across multiple simultaneous pursuits and proposals. The Capture Manager will routinely be assigned 3-4 captures at the same time. The ideal candidate will have previously served as a capture manager with demonstrated results on DoD Enterprise, Network, Cyber, and System IT opportunities.
Successful candidates will have the ability to conceptualize a vision for winning, develop a capture plan that implements the vision and translates into win themes, adjust the vision as the procurement unfolds, and focus and manage the capture activities and team (internal and external) to achieve the vision through final proposal submission.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop a plan for securing knowledge and understanding of the customer’s requirements, issues, and needs during the capture and lead strategic and tactical capture sessions with core team in the furtherance of the pursuit
- Collaborate with Business Development leads to coordinate meetings with customers, competitors, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, acquisition timing, and other key capture elements
- Plan and participate in capture activities, to include opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, collaboration and workshop sessions, proposal reviews, etc.
- Lead competitive assessments and teaming strategy development/implementation
- Support the writing of white papers, RFI responses, and other proposal artifacts in collaboration with Business Development and Technical personnel
- Apply a practical application (including documentation) of the Leidos capture planning process and practices
- Brief capture status to senior management at specified milestones in the capture process, when material changes occur and as needed
- Support other business development activities as assigned
- Mentor program personnel and rotational program staff in the capture management process
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of related experience or Master’s degree and 13+ years of prior relevant experience.
- Leadership skills to develop, organize and execute significant capture activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans to shape acquisitions, to respond to and win business with new and existing customers
- This role requires that the successful candidate have a proven track record of successful capture management in the enterprise IT market across multiple organizations and program offices in the Department of Defense at a variety of acquisition sizes
- A track record of leading and winning contracts or managing pipeline
- Experience leading teams in a virtual environment
- Technical writing and proposal development experience
- Strong verbal communication skills and prior experience briefing executives
- Willingness to travel to support customer visits and strategy workshops. Estimated up to 25% annually as required.
- Ability to obtain a Secret level clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing opportunities and working with customers
- Completed professional training (e.g., Shipley) in Capture Management

Pay Range:Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00
