Responsibilities

• DBA Activity Migration Coordination: 
  • This involves managing the transfer of database administration tasks, possibly between teams, systems, or locations. 
  • It ensures smooth transitions and continuity in database management operations. 
• SQL Upgrade Process Management: 
  • Overseeing upgrades of SQL (Structured Query Language) systems. 
  • This is crucial for keeping database systems up-to-date, secure, and performant. 
• CMDB Updates Oversight: 
  • CMDB likely stands for Configuration Management Database. 
  • Managing updates to this database ensures that IT infrastructure information is accurate and current. 
• SQL Vulnerability Status Tracking: 
  • Monitoring and managing the status of vulnerabilities in SQL systems. 
  • This is vital for maintaining database security and preventing potential breaches. 
• Centralization of Coordination Tasks: 
  • By consolidating these responsibilities under one role, the organization aims to improve efficiency and consistency in project management. 
• Support Model Implementation: 
  • This role is key in implementing a new or revised support model for database systems. 
• Database Landscape Management: 
  • Overseeing the organization's evolving database environment, ensuring it meets current and future needs.

Experience & Education

• Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Information & Computer Science, Statistics or a quantitative discipline in science. 
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, with a focus on database projects.
• Strong knowledge of SQL technologies, preferably experience with major database service providers (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle etc).

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Project Planning and Organization:
  • Breaking down project goals into manageable tasks and milestones. 
  • Creating detailed project timelines and work plans. 
  • Identifying and assigning tasks to team members based on their expertise. 
  • Maintaining project documentation and updating project management tools. 
• Communication and Collaboration:
  • Facilitating communication between developers, database administrators, stakeholders, and clients. 
  • Conducting regular project status meetings to track progress and address issues. 
  •  Managing stakeholder expectations and keeping them informed of project updates. 
• Technical Coordination:
  • Monitoring SQL database development process, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices. 
  • Reviewing SQL queries and database designs for efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Identifying and resolving technical challenges related to database implementation. 
• Budget and Resource Management:
  • Tracking project budget and ensuring project stays within allocated funds. 
  • Monitoring resource utilization and addressing any resource constraints. 
  • Managing project timelines and identifying potential delays. 
• Quality Assurance:
  • Performing quality checks on SQL Inventory and database structures. 
  • Identifying and resolving data integrity issues. 
  •  Coordinating testing activities and ensuring successful project delivery.
