We are seeking an SQL Database Administrator in support of the Compartmented Enterprise Services Office (CESO) NOC.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work across IT functional boundaries (other system administrators, SAN administrators, Network administrators, Database administrators, etc.) with configuration, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrade and system management for optimum performance and reliability.
- Report any server performance issue that will impact mission operations.
- Responsible for maintaining daily operations, monitoring, problem identification/ resolution of database server/systems, applications, operating systems and analyzing activity and performance ensuring system/application is providing optimum performance and availability.
- Install, build, rebuild, configure, maintain, secure, document and administer databases, system related products, hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and operational requirements.
- Provide database administration support in terms of installing, configuring, maintaining security, install patches and perform necessary upgrades in order to keep servers/databases updated and secure
- Includes database design, database structure identification, database schema definition, database access privilege management, database query optimization, documentation, database instance upgrades, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and database protection
- Works with application owners/developers to ensure database meets their requirements for performance and availability,
- Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, file design and storage, and integration of systems through database design.
- Perform remedial actions as necessary to ensure database remain online and available to applications and user.
Basic Qualifications
- BS and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience. Add'l experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Candidate must possess an active DOD TS/SCI level security clearance, and be eligible to obtain and maintain a w/CI Poly
- Installing, Upgrading, Patching MS SQL databases.
- Experience backing up and restoring database instances.
- Secure SQL Database to the latest DOD Security requirements and best practices.
- Has performed daily SQL Database Administration in adherence with DOD Standards.
- Installed and maintain database schemas based on latest application requirements.
- Experience with SQL 2012 version or higher Database
- Experience in Windows Server
- IAT Level II Baseline Certification (e.g. CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
- Ability to translate highly technical matter to non-technical audience
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- MCSA SQL certification
- Prior experienced with DISA and DISA’s support to mission partners
- TS/SCI w/CI Poly Preferred

Pay Range:Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
