You will be working with Bentall Green Oak (BGO) a leading global real estate investment management firm having major stake holding from Sun Life, which manages significant assets for institutional clients. Operating across 27 cities in 13 countries, BGO offers expertise in various property types and is committed to integrity, transparency, and responsible investing. 

The Data Science team at BGO drives innovative solutions by leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, large language models (LLMs), and artificial intelligence (AI). They work collaboratively across departments to optimize investment strategies and operational efficiencies. By transforming data and AI-driven insights into actionable strategies, the team empowers decision-making and contributes to BGO's success in a competitive market. 

What will you do? 

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining scalable and secure software solutions that empower BGO to make data-driven decisions. By leveraging your expertise in modern development practices and cloud technologies, you will contribute to the success of enterprise applications that enhance operational efficiency and support strategic initiatives. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with data scientists and data engineers to develop robust Python code for scalable and efficient solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs and best practices. 

• Manage and maintain code repositories using Git, adopting industry-standard version control techniques to support seamless team collaboration. 

• Implement and maintain cloud security standards and protocols, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. 

• Optimize workflows by designing, enhancing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with a focus on automation, reliability, and scalability. 

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications and APIs using FastAPI, leveraging Azure App Service or equivalent platforms to deliver high-performance, secure solutions. 

• Ensure SLF Information Security Policies and General Computing Control is compiled to in all situations.

• Take complete ownership of work assignments and ensure the successful completion of assigned tasks.

• Ensure all written and verbal communication is clear, understandable and audience appropriate.

• Flexibility to work on different technologies will be preferred.

Key Requirements 

Mandatory: 

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a strong focus on Python development. 

• Proficiency in Git and Azure DevOps for version control and CI/CD pipeline management. 

• Hands-on experience with FastAPI or similar frameworks (Django, Flask or more) for API development. 

• Expertise in deploying and managing applications on Azure App Service or equivalent platforms. 

• Solid understanding of cloud security principles and best practices, aligned with organizational and regulatory requirements. 

Optional: 

• Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and artificial intelligence (AI) integration to enhance solutions. 

• Strong problem-solving skills and experience in designing and optimizing workflows and CI/CD automation. 

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams and drive project success.
