Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and owning the strategic plan for building out the Vizient Reserve portfolio for Vizient clients. This role will take ownership of prioritizing market opportunities, developing high-level relationships with key suppliers, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships, forecasting revenue opportunities, and negotiating contracts with market-leading value. The role requires the ability to negotiate contracts across categories, including pharmacy and medical-surgical.

Responsibilities:

•    Lead strategic sourcing efforts to expand the Vizient Reserve portfolio, including developing and executing sourcing plans, processes, and procedures.
•    Analyze market trends and healthcare industry dynamics to identify opportunities and cost-saving strategies.
•    Engage and negotiate with suppliers to develop competitive contracts across multiple categories, including pharmacy and medical-surgical.
•    Drive member adoption by collaborating with category teams, influencing contract negotiations, and promoting supplier programs.
•    Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies for newly contracted suppliers.
•    Track and manage a sourcing pipeline, integrating sales and revenue projections while evaluating new business opportunities.
•    Measure and improve program performance by tracking success metrics, analyzing lost/won opportunities, and conducting business reviews with key suppliers.
•    Ensure compliance with supplier agreements, resolving escalated issues and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
•    Provide strategic consultation to internal and external teams, acting as a liaison for sales opportunities and program impacts.

Qualifications:

•    Relevant degree preferred.  Degrees in Business, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
•    7 or more years of relevant experience in sourcing, business development, contract negotiation, or healthcare supply chain management required.
•    Strong analytical abilities and experience in financial modeling, pricing strategies, and revenue forecasting highly preferred.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools preferred. 
•    Strong understanding of healthcare market dynamics, supplier relationships, and contract negotiation strategies across multiple categories, including pharmacy and medical-surgical.
•    Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sourcing plans and drive revenue growth.
•    Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
•    Willingness to travel.
 

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $155,500.00.
