High-Level Position Purpose: The Maersk Demo Competency Centre (MDCC) is part of Maersk’s Solutions and Services MSS function. The Solution Support Engineer reports into the Team leader of MDCC, but can be working across functions in the MSS. The role contributes to supply chain solution sales for Maersk customers by demonstrating how Maersk’s capabilities can create value for the customer through the usage of Maersk solutions.

The MDCC Global Solutions Support Engineer will partner with MDCC Team to coordinate demo requests, communication and planning for the team The role is also responsible of the on-going maintenance of the supporting use case data and artifacts, and functional value reporting. The role further entails creating value narrative-based demo videos to aid launch of new products and capability drops with customers. Additionally, new products and platforms require creation of training guides. Solution Support Engineers will create training materials for customers as well as internal users as per product requirement.

This position is a key step to build a long and successful career in supply chain solutions, especially within the global organization of Maersk. In addition to growth opportunities within the team, the mentorship, trainings and on-the-ground learnings will motivate and inspire candidates towards becoming an expert on supply chains solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • On demand Maersk Demo Studio application maintenance and updates
  • Demo Data preparation, script creation and maintenance
  • Collaborates with product owners to understand value proposition of products and create commercial demo videos for customers
  • Contributes to the effectiveness and efficiency of the team by designing, creating, and maintaining practice aids, configuration specifications, datasets, best-practice documentation collateral, and other work artifacts
  • Provides a variety of technical support offerings including quality assurance/design review, demonstration environment setup, operations consulting, troubleshooting and system testing
  • Works with Team Lead to provide accurate estimations, feasibility scoping, timely communications, and quality deliverables with respect to the work assigned within agile timeline requirements
  • Works with appropriate parties to ensure product issues are communicated, understood, and resolved in support of sales opportunity timelines
  • Prepare reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text with critical thinking skills
  • Manage own tasks in the pursuit team to the highest quality within the assigned deadline
  • Display role model behaviour on ownership, motivation, and teamwork
  • Support to the Team including coordination of trainings etc.

 

 

Requirements

  • Good understanding of the fundamentals of a supply chain in one or more verticals and how it relates to Maersk solutions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Possess good knowledge of and continue learning about supply chain industry and Maersk’s offerings
  • B.E from a reputed college (Mechanical, electrical, Computer Science, etc).
  • At least 3-5 years of prior experience working with Supply chain solutions covering Transportation Management, Import/Export, Visibility applications.
  • Good Knowledge of MS Power BI and Power App is nice to have
  • In-depth knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Third-party logistics, freight forwarding, or other logistics service provider experience is a plus
  • Strong quantitative, research, and data analytics skills contributing towards problem solving
  • Skillful at analysing, interpreting, and presenting large datasets
  • Persuasive personality and ability to connect with stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-orientated and enjoy being an expert on supply chain sector
  • Ability to multi-task and be proactive & independent in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Fluent in English, oral and written
  • Creative flair to execute projects on commercial demo video creation
  • Product knowledge of lead logistics products is advantageous
