Position Summary:
Provides technical direction to Voya Supplier(s) to ensure the integrity of the operations environment. May work under the direction of a Solutions Engineering Consultant or Lead.Technical subject matter expert that provides guidance and oversight on critical systems within a specific technology stack (e.g., Linux, Windows, Storage, Network, Intranet, WEB, Database) or hardware configurations.
Position Description:
- Provide input and design assistance during the implementation of technical designs and plans by the Supplier(s).
- Research of potential system solutions, including evaluating product and vendor products and services.
- Help vendors identify the root cause of, and recommend corrective actions in response to, system outages or performance issues.
- Work with lead or consultant to prepare proposals to management on technical direction or solutions.
- Collaborate with Supplier(s) and provides direction on change implementation plans.
- Monitor day-to-day vendor progress on projects or problem remediation. On less complex projects they may work directly with the vendor, while on more complex initiatives may escalate to the lead solutions engineer or consultant.
- Analyze daily/weekly/monthly reports that track Supplier(s) adherence to SLA and KPI metrics. Makes recommendations to the Lead Solutions Engineer or Solutions Engineer Consultant on remediation plans.
- Participate in P1/P2/P3 troubleshooting calls as requested.
- Perform specific tasks as part of a project team.
- Be available for on-call rotation.
- Work collaboratively with all IT functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering and/or 3-5 years of professional IT work experience.
- Minimum of two years of relevant work experience in the technology tower assigned.
Required skills:
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team composed of on-site and virtual members
- Subject matter expertise in a specific technology stack. Has some familiarity with, but not in-depth knowledge of, related stacks
- Ability to work independently on specific tasks or under the direction of a more senior person as part of a project team

Compensation Pay Disclosure:
Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya may offer incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
