Position Title: Software Development/MIS Specialist (National expert)
Key Qualifications/Requirements:
He/she should have at least 7 years’ experience in the field of Information Technology and development of IT strategy, Management Information system, asset management tool, web site and other relevant applications. he/she should have degree level qualification in information technology, computer science and should have provided similar services to public/private organizations of comparable nature. He should have experience in development of a minimum one official asset management tool for water resources projects or infrastructure project or similar nature of project from inception to completion stage.
Job Descriptions:
- Serve as the Nodal Expert for all matters related to software development and MIS activities.
- Ensure the development and deployment of the MIS system to support the DRIP workflow on an appropriate platform, hosted through a Contract Agency within three months of mobilization.
- Oversee the updating and enhancement of DHARMA based on feedback from DRIP Implementing Agencies (IAs) through discussions, meetings, and training sessions.
- Coordinate with technical experts to update and launch new versions of DHARMA.
- Develop and implement annual action plans for DHARMA training programs and ensure all IAs meet the set milestones.
- Conduct Training of Trainers (TOT) programs with assistance from the CPMU team.
- Provide internal coordination between the CPMU team and DRIP IAs regarding any DHARMA-related issues.
- Address software-related challenges in hosting and running SHAIS on the dam safety website.
- Handle development, updates, and hosting of the National Dam Safety Website/DRIP website.
- Provide technical support during the organization of annual dam safety conferences, workshops, and training programs, including real-time dissemination of activities.
- Finalize Software Requirement Specifications (SRS) for new tool development, including hardware and software specifications for continuous website support on CWC servers.
- Ensure monthly backups of all MIS data and submit them to CPMU, CWC for data security and project information safety.
- Handle any other DRIP-related activity assigned by the Project Director, DRIP, CWC.
- Address any additional MIS and software-related issues not explicitly mentioned but necessary for project success.
