Software Development Lead

ISS STOXX is actively looking for a Software Development Lead to join our Development Team in Mumbai (Goregaon East) location.

Overview:

The ISS Market Intelligence (MI) business provides critical data, insight, and workflow solutions to global asset managers, insurance companies and distributors. Through its combination of proprietary integrated datasets, in-depth global research and trusted executive engagement, ISS MI delivers solutions that drive strategy and data-driven decision making across a wide range of financial products. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in SQL, python, business intelligence tools, visualization libraries and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the systems. Candidate will mentor and manage the team. Candidate must be self-directed and comfortable taking ownership of the project and tasks assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Understand business processes, underlying data architecture and architect/design/automate manual business processes.
• Microsoft SQL Server – Authoring high quality T-SQL programs.
• Provide technical support to business users of above systems.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with global business and technical teams.
• Willingness to learn and work on different technologies and tools.

. Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Overall ~6-9 years of experience working on SQL, JAVA, React, javascript and team management.
• Familiarity with working on data pipeline using python.
• Working knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming.
• Familiarity with docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self-directed and quick learner.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must have solid team management skills.
• Engage with global business teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable technical solutions.
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in fast paced, rapidly changing and complex environment.
• Flexible and willing to work in 11/12 to 8/9 pm timings.

Good to have:

• Familiarity with Capital markets and Mutual funds industry/data.
• Familiarity with BI tools like SSRS and dashboard tools.
• Maintain a proactive focus on fostering business growth by recommending innovative solutions.
• Basic familiarity with development methods and processes such as Agile Scrum.
