Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff LSS Cyber Systems Architect. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Launch Support System (LSS) is a team well positioned to have a major impact on the Sentinel program and is staffed up with many diverse disciplines to achieve our design goals. Our Team is tasked with deploying a flight test specific product at multiple locations across the US. LSS has a significant and valuable impact on range safety and flight data management through the life of the Sentinel program and coordinates with multiple other product groups.
In this role, you will be responsible for:

Review and influence the Weapon System Requirements in the LSS Specification
-
Guide Design Engineers working on the system hardware and software design to ensure cyber protections are implemented.

Lead Cyber R vs C analysis for the LSS.

Implement and review the application of cybersecurity profile stereotypes to a Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) Architecture
-
Review and Assess stakeholder, external network, and customer security objectives, protection needs and concerns, and security requirements.

Guide the LSS team to ensure verification/validation methods are actionable.

Identify and/or assess vulnerabilities and susceptibility to life cycle disruptions, hazards, and threats
-
Provide security considerations to inform systems engineering efforts with the objective to reduce errors, flaws, and weakness that may constitute security vulnerability leading to unacceptable asset loss and consequences

Identify, quantify, and evaluate the costs/benefits of security functions and considerations to inform analysis of alternatives, engineering trade-offs, and risk treatment decisions

Author, support and maintain cybersecurity program documentation & RMF package documentation: Cybersecurity Strategies, System Security Plans, Continuous Monitoring Plans, Risk Assessment Report, Security Control Traceability Matrix, Plan Of Actions & Milestones, etc.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Job Qualifications:
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with 14 years’ experience; or Master’s Degree with 12 years’ experience; or PhD with 9 years’ experience. Experience must be in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or related technical fields. 19 years of experience in lieu of degree may be considered.

Must be a US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance adjudicated within the past 6 years
-
Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
-
Ability to assist or guide development of a Secure Code Testing Methodology (SCTM) for a new network design.
-
Ability to break down SCTM network controls into cyber protections for the LSS system.
-
Expert ability to understand how Cyber Protections will meet the Program SOW, requirements, implementation, integration, verification & validation, field test, etc.
-
Direct experience developing RMF assessment and authorization documentation

Current DoD 8570 certification for IASAE Level II (CISSP) or ability to obtain within 6 months of Hire

Ability to represent LSS in the Cyber Community with Stakeholders, US Gov Customers, Authorizing Officers, and other key staff.

Salary Range: $142,500.00 - $213,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
