What We Need:

The Senior Vice President of Political Strategy is responsible for driving the revenue growth of iHeartMedia’s broadcast, digital, and live entertainment products and delivering the highest sustainable profit margins. As the senior member of the Political management team, you will serve as the cultural anchor for all employees by role modeling iHeartMedia values and operating principles throughout the organization.

You must have a deep knowledge of the political landscape, business development within the industry, client relationship building, and media sales.

                                                                             

What You'll Do:

  • Act as a political brand ambassador for iHeartMedia, driving political sales and strategy while increasing revenue on the iHeart platform.

  • Set goals and implement initiatives that align with strategic plans across iHeartMedia business units to create unique revenue opportunities using the company's products for key candidates, issues, and advocacy across all media.

  • Monitor and stay aware of the competitive landscape.

  • Advise and manage political leads in various markets nationwide.

  • Create and attend high-profile account presentations, providing coaching and leadership to political sellers.

  • Use existing relationships to reach potential political and issue advertisers.

  • Oversee the execution of external events at political conventions or relevant events.

  • Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture with strong ethical standards.

                                                                             

What You'll Need:

  • Proven success in running a sales organization, growing and coaching managers and account executives.

  • Extensive experience in political media sales with audio expertise.

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of industry trends and revenue drivers.

  • Entrepreneurial drive with the ability to prioritize and clarify deliverables.

  • Ability to work in a structured environment and communicate status to leadership teams at local, regional, and national levels.

  • Quick decision-making based on data to achieve maximum results.

  • Well-informed business decisions and strong change management skills.

  • Dynamic presence with excellent written and presentation skills.

  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities across multiple levels.

  • Ability to create and leverage a highly collaborative operating environment.

  • Must have completed a four-year undergraduate program.

  • Experience in political media, campaigns, or on the hill.

Compensation:

Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data.
