Join Collibra’s User Experience Design Team

We are seeking an experienced Senior Visual Designer to join our team, focusing on designing intuitive and innovative user experiences for a complex data application. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in visual design principles and a knowledge of interaction design principles to create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces. Specifically, you’ll be joining a growing product organization working on our design system that supports the enterprise SaaS platform and will help the team ensure that we are creating a system that can scale and support standardized experiences that meets both user and business needs. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and evolving comprehensive design systems for digital products, as well as creating scalable and reusable design components that ensure consistency across multiple platforms.

 As a Senior Visual Designer on the Design System team you are responsible for… 

  • Build, maintain, and evolve scalable design systems, including reusable UI components and templates, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with brand and accessibility standards across platforms.
  • Partner closely with engineering, design, and product management teams to ensure seamless implementation, alignment on priorities, and resolution of technical constraints.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation, including guidelines and best practices, to support cross-functional teams in utilizing the design system effectively.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that illustrate functionality, user interaction, and visually appealing interfaces for complex data applications.
  • Continuously analyze user feedback, insights, and data to iterate on and improve design system components and user interfaces.
  • Stay updated with the latest UX trends and technologies, applying best practices and innovative approaches to maintain cutting-edge design standards.
  • Act as a mentor and subject matter expert, providing guidance on UX methodologies, advocating for practical solutions, and resolving team challenges to foster collaboration and growth.
  • Clearly articulate customer needs and the platform’s differentiation, balancing simplicity and effectiveness in design solutions while pushing for improvements where necessary.

You Have  

  • Proven experience in UX design, delivering valuable and impactful designs while building, maintaining, and evolving comprehensive design systems for digital products.
  • Expertise in creating scalable, reusable design components that ensure consistency and high-quality user experiences across multiple platforms.
  • Mastery of visual design principles, including typography, color theory, layout, and iconography, with a strong focus on pixel-perfect execution that balances aesthetic and functional requirements.
  • A solid understanding of the development process we employ (Agile, Scrum, Kanban). You contribute to the agile methodology while practicing user-centered design.
  • Proficiency in Figma and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira)
  • 5+  years UX/UI, HCI (aka product design) experience .
  • A portfolio of projects showing high quality, full-lifecycle, goal-centered interface design work in complex domains for web and desktop applications.
  • 5 + years of SaaS sales experience, data preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required.
  • You must have work authorization to work in Prague, CZ.

  • Able to work with a wide variety of UX approaches, patterns, and implementation styles
  • Able to leverage, contribute, and/or influence design system components and visual styles.
  • Familiar with driving techniques for improving UX efficiency in order to deliver customer value as quickly as possible
  • Proactive in identify the need for and are capable of leading/facilitating workshops
  • Experienced at balancing user needs, company strategy, and technical constraints when making decisions.

Measures of Success 

Reporting to Collibra’s Director of Product Design, measures of success are

  • Month 1: Deep dive into onboarding, understanding our products, and getting to know the team
  • Month 2: Begin contributing to active projects by designing new components collaborating with other design system designers on on various projects. 
  • Month 3: Identifying new patterns and gaps in our design system and visual strategy across the platform.
