Job Description
CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Senior UI Technical Artist to join our studio in Boston to work on Project Orion, the follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077 and the next major video game in the Cyberpunk franchise. This technical role will work with a diverse team ranging from artists to programmers in order to build engaging, performant, and effective UI.
Daily responsibilities
- Working closely with UI Artists and UI programmers, as well as developers from other disciplines, to implement UI solutions.
- Creation of workflows and pipelines
- Implementing and maintaining UI assets in Unreal 5.
- Delivering proper technical designs and reviewing general user experience.
- Communicating scenarios, interactions and designs to the team.
- Ensuring the technical consistency and integrity of UI assets.
- Troubleshooting solutions to technical problems.
- Defining and documenting technical standards and best practices.
- Testing and debugging UI content.
- Maintaining the production pipeline and meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of working experience with UI development or Technical Art in the gaming industry.
- Ability to work independently to identify and own work, deliver results.
- Proficiency in design tools like Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, InVision, or similar
- Intermediate C# programming skills.
- Expertise with Blueprint and Unreal 5.
- HLSL and Unity ShaderLab knowledge.
- Good understanding of graphics optimization practices.
- Ability to do layout designs with provided tools (Unreal or any other engine).
- Knowledge of anchor/layout design for different aspect ratios.
- Understanding of different input systems.
- Excellent communication skills, friendly and approachable attitude.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
