Senior Technical Writer

So, what’s the role all about?

We are creating products that allow the world's largest financial institutions to fight, prevent, and manage financial crime. We are searching for an experienced technical writer to join our team and help take ownership of the solution documentation for our current FMC product portfolio. Your audience will be Customers, Solution Engineers, Support Engineers, Product Managers and R&D.

How will you make an impact?

• Obtain a deep understanding of products and services FMC offers
• Translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content for each user type in our target audiences
• Continue development of a comprehensive suite of Documentation and Online Help that meets our organisational standards
• Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various teams to understand project requirements
• Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
• Produce clear, concise, and user-friendly technical documentation using topic-based writing principles.
• Provide technical editorial support to the technical writing and content-contributing teams.
• Work on multiple product documentation simultaneously and manage time accordingly.

Have you got what it takes?

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4-7 years of experience as a technical writer in an enterprise software development environment.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience preparing topic-based documentation.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to learn complex technology and tools.
• Experience creating clear and structured guides for different audiences, including developers.
• Experience with Madcap Flare, and Git is an advantage.
• Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA and Confluence) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Information Architecture and content strategies is an advantage.
• Experience creating videos for technical documentation. Experience with Mimic or Camtasia is an advantage.
• Experience managing documentation systems or content delivery platforms is an advantage.
