AlayaCare are seeking a Senior Technical Services Specialist who is a generalist with proven adaptability to join our resident team of technical experts in Australia. Our Technical Services (TS) team works closely with our customers during & post implementation on data migrations & fixes, custom exports & integration development, as well as providing generalist technical advice for our customers.

About the role
As a Senior Technical Services Specialist we will initially require this role to focus on managing complex data migrations to fill a short term absence in the team, while in the long term you will be a trusted senior member of the team with the flexibility to pivot across different technologies. Day to day you will work on and guide the team with complex customer requests, ongoing technical improvements to our approach and offerings, and acts as a mentor and technical resource for more junior team members.
More specifically, you will be completing tasks such as:
- Perform complex data migrations and improve and maintain the data migration functionality.
- Perform complex data fixes to assist with either things that are not possible through the app or more efficient to be done in bulk.
- Write queries and code to enable scheduled extraction of customer data.
- Support the Client Services team, Support team and Customer Relationship teams with technical client interactions (advice, explanations of technicalities, suggestions, integration advice)
- Provide mentoring and advice to team members on best practice, code quality, and testing methodology.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues, providing expertise and direction to resolve challenges quickly and efficiently.
- Lead the grooming of new requests, ensuring requirements are clearly stated and understood and accuracy of work estimates.
What we're looking for in a Senior Technical Services Specialist;
- Demonstrated ability and appetite to adapt to new technologies and languages
- Advanced communication & interpersonal skills
- Advanced Python & SQL skills (3+ years)
- Advanced problem-solving skills – assist in fix bugs in reports, find solutions to customer report requirements, assist team members with complex problems
- 3+ years working in SaaS (Software as a Service)
- Exposure/experience with PHP, Vue/JS, or other similar technologies
- Intermediate working understanding and proficiency in Software development project tools - Jira, Git, Confluence.
It would be a bonus if you also have:
- Software Development or Computer Science qualification
- Exposure to the Aged & Disability Care sector
