Lyra Technology Group is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant for our OpCo, CMS Group Ltd. The Senior Technical Consultant to join their team in London, England. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying a range of projects, providing senior technical escalation, conducting customer technical reviews, and collaborating with various teams to deliver excellent support and service. The role offers a mix of on-site and remote work with occasional travel to customer sites, including international locations.

Your work as a Senior Technology Consultant will include the following duties:
• Perform technical site visits to customer locations, primarily in the southern UK, for installations and audits.
• Conduct wireless and network audits, assessing key infrastructure components for performance, security, and compliance.
• Work with the Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platform and team to ensure seamless deployments, patching, and configuration of security baselines.
• Support customers’ on-premises, Azure, and third-party platforms by ensuring optimal system performance and security through RMM tools.
• Maintain clear and concise documentation of deployments, troubleshooting processes, and project outcomes.
• Provide detailed reports to both internal teams and clients to track the progress and status of ongoing projects.
• Act as a senior technical point of contact for customers, handling escalated support issues and offering expert guidance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing outstanding technical advice and solutions to their challenges.
• Share knowledge with junior team members and help mentor less experienced staff to support their development.
• Lead internal training sessions to increase the overall technical knowledge of the team, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
Our ideal Senior Technology Consultant has the following qualifications:
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred but not required).
• 10+ years of proven experience in a Senior Technical Services or Consultant role, ideally within an MSP environment.
• Strong experience with deploying and managing server, network, and cloud-based infrastructure (Azure, VMware, etc.).
• Customer-facing experience, with the ability to handle escalated technical issues and communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Expertise in Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure, VMware, Meraki Networking, Veeam, and Citrix/RDP.
• Experience with network and wireless auditing, infrastructure assessments, and security tools (Sophos, Mimecast, Defender, etc.).
• Familiarity with RMM platforms, backup solutions, and security baselines.
• Knowledge of SQL, Power Platform, and related technologies is a plus.
• Microsoft AZ-700, AZ-104, AZ-140, AZ-305, PL-600. (Preferred)
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and collaborate remotely.
The targeted base compensation for this role is £45,000- £50,000 per year based out of Preston, England on a hybrid basis. lease note, we are currently reviewing candidates based out of London proper and will not offer relocation at this time. This role offers a car allowance of £4,800.
