About Virgo Health:

At Virgo Health, we believe in balancing collaboration, learning and flexibility to help you do your best work. That’s why we ask for a minimum of two days in the office, giving you the freedom to shape the rest of your week around personal commitments and creative inspiration. Our inclusive culture, wellbeing initiatives and commitment to ongoing career development ensure you feel valued, supported and empowered from day one.

Virgo Health is a specialist health communications agency, part of the GOLIN group and the wider IPG network of companies with more than 200 offices around the world as well as hubs in London, New York and Chicago. We are passionate about helping people to make better decisions around health and wellbeing. Whether its clinicians selecting the best treatment, patients understanding their disease better or empowering consumers to self-treat, we always make sure that the human aspect is at the heart of what we do. We work with pharmaceutical, diagnostic and consumer health companies, industry bodies, public and private health providers as well as patient organisations.

When we choose to work in healthcare, we choose to work in an industry with people at its heart; we celebrate our differences and how we complement each other. But at Virgo, ‘Being Human’ is what unites us, and it’s fundamental to our culture. We show empathy and support for each other to grow our skills, embracing inclusive and flexible ways of working and rejecting outdated workplace culture. We have a brilliant team that works well together to deliver effective content and to celebrate our successes.

The Role:
As a Senior Talent Acquisition Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind attracting, recruiting, and retaining top tier talent in a fast paced, highly specialised environment. This standalone role is critical to our success, working closely with the Group Head of Talent Acquisition to shape our recruitment strategy while managing the end to end hiring process. You’ll have the autonomy to design and execute forward thinking talent strategies to solidify our position as the top destination for talent in healthcare PR. This isn’t just about filling roles, it’s about how we attract, engage, and retain the exceptional talent that powers our success. You’ll also play a hands on role in influencing leadership, mentoring hiring managers and elevating our employer brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute recruitment plans that align with business goals, focusing on both immediate hiring needs and long term talent pipelines
  • Manage the recruitment process from sourcing to offer, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and leadership to deeply understand talent needs and deliver tailored recruitment solutions
  • Utilise innovative sourcing methods to find and engage passive and active talent, building strong relationships with top professionals in our industry
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing insights on workforce planning, succession and market trends
  • Ensure a seamless, engaging and personalised candidate experience from the first touchpoint through to offer
  • Champion our employer brand, leveraging storytelling and marketing strategies to position us as an employer of choice
  • Collaborate across departments, from HR to Marketing, to elevate our talent initiatives and create unified campaigns
  • Drive DEI initiatives throughout the recruitment process, ensuring diverse representation in candidate pools
  • Provide insights on market trends, competitor hiring strategies and talent availability to inform business decisions
  • Track recruitment metrics to evaluate the success of strategies, providing regular updates to the leadership team

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven track record in senior recruitment or talent acquisition roles, preferably within PR, communications or healthcare sectors
  • Expertise in sourcing and recruitment strategies, with a strong understanding of candidate engagement and experience
  • Familiarity with healthcare PR or adjacent industries is a plus but not essential
  • A proactive, solution oriented mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), sourcing tools and recruitment marketing platforms. Experience with Greenhouse is a bonus
  • A genuine interest in healthcare communications and making a difference through talent
  • You see recruitment as more than a process; you see it as an opportunity to create transformative connections
  • You understand the big picture and know how to execute plans to get there
  • You’re committed to building diverse, inclusive teams that celebrate different perspectives and truly reflect the richness of the world around us

What We Offer:

  • A dynamic and collaborative work environment
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development
  • The chance to shape the talent strategy of a leading agency
  • Flexibility to innovate and make a meaningful impact
