Come and be part of a team developing and aligning safety architecture and requirements across NVIDIA and with our partners.
What you’ll be doing:
-
Collaborate with product definition teams to analyze product features, and define the safe behavior of the product
-
Work closely with diverse teams of engineers to develop innovative safety concept solutions for handling sophisticated L2++ and L3 use cases, and drive alignment across the NVIDIA engineering organization
-
Define quantitative metrics based on risk analysis that can be measured at scale with data and simulation
-
Build creative safety architecture solutions for a drive stack heavily based on ML, and work with the wider team to ensure it is implemented and accurately tested
-
Perform safety analysis working with teams in multiple domains, including HW and SW teams
-
We will count on you to guide teams in system safety methodologies for design and verification
What we need to see:
-
BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
-
8+ years of confirmed experience in a relevant field (SW architecture, ADAS/AV development, automotive, systems engineering, functional safety, SOTIF or other system safety field)
-
We are looking for technically strong engineers with a hands-on approach to systems, SW and safety engineering, who thrive working in teams and across multiple domains
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills to help guide teams on safety concepts and requirements, and to develop clear and concise safety argumentation

What We Do
NVIDIA’s invention of the GPU in 1999 sparked the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI — the next era of computing — with the GPU acting as the brain of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world. Today, NVIDIA is increasingly known as “the AI computing company.”
