We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Manual and Automation QA Engineer to join our team. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for both manual and automated testing to ensure the quality of our software applications. You will be involved in designing, implementing, and executing both manual and automated test cases, as well as identifying and reporting bugs, collaborating with development teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products. This role plays a pivotal role within the Scrum team, ensuring the delivery of well tested features and contributing to the software development lifecycle.
What you will do:
● Manual Testing
○ Analyze requirements and technical specifications to create detailed test plans and test cases.
○ Execute manual testing of applications, including functional, regression, integration, user acceptance testing, and smoke testing.
○ Identify, document, and report bugs using Jira with clear steps for reproduction
○ Work closely with developers and product team to understand application functionality and resolve issues.
○ Ensure test coverage for critical paths and high-risk areas of applications.
○ Validate fixes and perform re-testing to confirm bug resolutions.
○ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
○ Provide feedback on product usability, functionality, and overall quality.
○ Maintain comprehensive documentation of testing processes, results, and defects.
○ Validate functionality, usability and performance across multiple environments and platforms.
○ Work closely with the development team to ensure quality testing of new features during sprints and confirm functionality prior to release.
● Automation Testing
○ Analyze application functionality and identify areas that would benefit from automation testing
○ Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for regression, functional, and performance testing.
○ Implement automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, etc.) and integrate them into the CI/CD pipeline.
○ Work closely with developers and the DevOps team to ensure seamless integration of automated tests into the deployment process.
○ Perform automation scripting for UI, API, and database testing.
○ Execute automated test scripts, analyze results, and report any discrepancies.
○ Troubleshoot and debug test automation issues.
● Identify process improvements within manual and automated testing practices.

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
● 3 to 5 years of proven experience in both manual and automation software testing.
● Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA testing methodologies.
● Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases.
● Familiarity with APIs and API testing, Postman, and querying with SQL.
● Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and testing tools (e.g., TestRail).
● Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, etc.)
● Knowledge of web application testing, including frontend and backend testing.
● Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.) for writing automation scripts.
● Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, or similar tools.
● Experience with version control systems like Git.
● Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Nice to have:
