What is this position about?

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will focus on building optimized, low-latency solutions using Java while analyzing large datasets for A/B testing and production validation. You'll take ownership of end-to-end changes, collaborate across teams to drive key decisions, and have the opportunity to work with technologies like Python, Scala, Go, and GCP. 

You may work 100% remotely if you are currently living in LATAM, or you can always join us at the office! 

Job Description

• Develop and maintain real-time backend systems using Java, optimizing performance with a focus on latency, scalability, and reliability. 

• Write and deploy high-quality, tested code to production. 

• Analyze large datasets using SQL to validate production changes and A/B tests. 

• Take ownership of end-to-end validation processes, ensuring successful implementation of changes. 

• Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies used within the team. 

• Collaborate with stakeholders to align business decisions and A/B testing strategies across multiple teams. 

• Manage and oversee assigned projects, ensuring timely execution and delivery. 

• Work with additional technologies such as Python, Scala, and Go when needed. 

• Gain exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as the team increasingly integrates cloud solutions. 

Qualifications

• Studies in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 

• Strong Java programming skills with experience in real-time system development. 

• Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets. 

• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to owning tasks from start to finish. 

• Ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple teams and stakeholders. 

• Experience with interpreting large-scale data. 

• Experience with A/B testing methodologies. 

• Familiarity with Python, Scala, Go, or GCP is a plus. 

• Exposure to project management concepts, ensuring timely delivery of initiatives. 

What about languages? 

• You will need excellent written and verbal English for clear and effective communication with the team. 

How much experience must I have? 

• We're looking for someone with 5+ years of experience in similar roles.
