The Insurance Discovery Software Engineering role is an exciting position at R1RCM for the person who wants to make an immediate impact in building and improving our Data product. In this role, you will join our Insurance Discovery team, and within a collaborative Agile framework, work with other engineers, analysts, testers, and operators delivering on our roadmap. The roadmap is deep and has the highest level of visibility in the organization.
The successful candidate will be a passionately engaged software engineer who is dedicated to building performant, enterprise-grade applications using a disciplined approach to software development and testing. The candidate will continue to maintain an overall curiosity about new software techniques and technology applying them to new and old problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the development team through the software development process to meet business and application requirements.
- Develop and maintain process design documents and operational workflows.
- Design and implement efficient, maintainable, and easy-to-understand automation solutions.
- Conduct thorough testing in both training and production environments.
- Support existing processes and implement change requirements using a structured change control process.
- Develop and document test procedures and scenarios for all pre-production phases.
- Collaborate with operational and technical teams to deliver projects on time.
- Ensure compliance with R1RCM policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional software development experience with modern programming or scripting languages.
- Proven ability to perform essential job functions safely and successfully, consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Extensive experience with structured Software Development Methodologies and Agile frameworks.
- Proficiency with Source Control Management software.
- 7-10 years of experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Strong background in automating tasks, tests, deployments, or software packaging.
- Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to conceptualize business processes from workflow diagrams into automated solutions.
- Experience leading teams and establishing best practices in software development.
- Expertise in business logic and process management.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Java, C#, Scala, Python, Powershell, JavaScript (Angular), SQL, T-SQL.
Bonus Points:
- Experience analyzing business processes, recommending improvements, and developing solutions.
- Familiarity with healthcare data formats like FHIR and HL7.
- Experience with Databricks and Cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
- Expertise in automating operational, testing, or deployment processes.
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $75,504.00 - $134,521.77 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 10.00%
