About the team:
Payrix by Worldpay is a modern platform that provides Payments Facilitation (PayFac) as a service, offering a full suite of payments and risk management services built for vertical SaaS companies. With Payrix, SaaS providers can embed payments and financial services in their native experience and add a new revenue stream in just weeks. The Payments & Embedded Experiences engineering team is responsible for delivering and supporting software that enables SaaS platforms to seamlessly integrate payments through low-code, embeddable solutions.
What You Will Own:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll refine, validate, and implement technical solutions that power our next-generation payments platform. You will work across backend services (C#/.NET), micro frontends (React/TypeScript), and event-driven architectures (ActiveMQ, Kafka, etc.), ensuring our systems are highly scalable, testable, and observable.
Your ability to evaluate technical challenges, validate solutions, and implement them effectively within fixed timeframes will be key to our team’s success.
Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain multiple services within a microservices or service-oriented architecture (SOA).

Develop scalable backend services in C# and .NET, leveraging cloud-native technologies.

Extend and optimize micro frontends and embeddable payment experiences using React and TypeScript.

Implement event-driven transaction processing using ActiveMQ, Kafka, or similar technologies.

Enhance observability and testability, ensuring our services meet high reliability standards.

Work collaboratively and accountably in a fast-paced, fixed-time deliverable environment.

Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions, helping drive best practices for scalable, maintainable solutions.

Validate technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical strategy.
What You Bring:
-
5+ years of experience in software development.
-
Proven experience contributing to multiple services in a microservices or service-oriented architecture (SOA).

Strong expertise in C# and .NET or comparable languages for backend development.

Proficiency in React and TypeScript for frontend development.

Experience shaping and implementing technical solutions within a fixed timeframe.

Passion for collaborative problem-solving and cross-team communication.

Strong knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging systems (ActiveMQ, Kafka, etc.).

Experience with cloud-native application development (AWS preferred).
Bonus Points:
- Experience provisioning infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible.
- Background in payment processing or fintech.
- Familiarity with defining and maintaining public APIs or developing low-code embeddable components and pages.

Worldpay is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $129,990.00 - $218,380.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. .
