Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is seeking a Senior RPG Engineer to join their Prime Labels and Packaging IT team!
Your Responsibilities:
- Planning, analysis and implementation of web and windows software applications
- Quality assurance including unit testing, bug reports and automated notifications
- Follow new technology and best practices, enhancing technical policies and standards
- Contribute technical and process knowledge/skills within project teams, including involvement in e-commerce and web development initiatives
- Work with business leaders to identify analytical requirements as needed
- Other duties as assigned, including server/IIS setup, database maintenance and overall IT planning
You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in a related area (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of programming experience
- Experience with Scott Klement’s HTTPLIB API’s, RPGIV/ILE/FREE
- Database experience table/index creation, CL programming, creating/consuming web services, XML or Json files
- ILE binding and using binding directories
- Aldon or other source management experience
- Experience with tax work solutions
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work closely with users throughout the lifecycle of application development and deployment
- Ability to demonstrate programming knowledge
- Analysis, planning and implementation of web and windows software applications
- Understanding of and ability to demonstrate object-oriented programming principles
- Ability to logically structure applications to promote loose coupling
- Ability to understand and implement event driven application development and multithreading
- SQL Server (schemas, queries, stored procedures) – able to write store procedures and interact with SQL server database using .NET, WCF/Web API services
We Would Also Prefer:
- Solid understanding of i-series operations
- PHP experience
- Knowledge of shipping programs
