Analytica is seeking a Senior Research Analyst to support an initiative aimed at detecting and combating fraud, waste, and abuse in all CMS programs. The research analyst provides subject matter expertise on Medicaid policy and how they apply to potential vulnerabilities. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, identifying vulnerabilities, and preventing fraud, waste, and abuse. This requires a high level of client engagement, including direct interaction with state Medicaid agencies, CMS representatives, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Analyze gathered information and documentation to evaluate compliance with state and federal regulations, summarizing findings in briefing documents for CMS in collaboration with policy analysts and subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Identifying potential risks, fraud, and inefficiencies in Medicaid services.
- Recommending corrective actions to improve program integrity.
- Provide subject matter expertise on Medicaid and CHIP compliance, ensuring adherence to applicable policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with state agencies to collect necessary documentation and understand processes required to assess program compliance.
- Prepare and deliver technical reports summarizing findings and recommendations following completion of audit reviews.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject; Master’s Degree in Public Policy or Public Health or related field is preferred.
- At least five years of experience required in Medicare, Medicaid, and CHIP programs with an expert level of understanding of the regulations in the programs along with direct supervision of staff;
- Expertise in managing complex research and analysis
- Sound analytical skills and ability to perform research activities
- Knowledge of CMS program integrity processes
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
