The role
Defending the skies over Europe is crucial to Helsing’s mission of serving our democracies and protecting our European citizens from harm. As (Senior) Programme Manager – Air Defence you will have the opportunity to bring Helsing’s cutting-edge technology into the air defence programmes of our armed forces.
As part of our team, you will work directly with industry partners, procurement agencies and the armed forces. You will shape and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for implementing our technology in air defence programmes, engage with the MoD and military leaders.
We have assembled a distinctive air defence team, consisting of AI and software engineers, air defence experts, product and programme managers with various fields of expertise and backgrounds. Together we lift ambitions and shape the thinking of customers on software and AI in defence, national security, and intelligence. You will work with and learn from leading AI experts to drive technology of the future and build lasting customer relationships.
The day-to-day
- Engage, shape and execute the vision, strategy, and programme roadmap for current and future customer engagements
- Develop our product offering and technology approach with our air defence team
- Independently manage and lead projects in close collaboration with government customers, industry partners and internal stakeholders
- Drive strategic campaigns, managing all activities and actions required to deliver in line with Helsing's strategic goals
You should apply if you
- Have a proven track record in air defence such as being an air defence officer in the Air Force or Army, an operator in a CRC or CAOC, a navy AAW officer, or in a similar role and/or have experience in designing or marketing air defence systems
- Have a university degree (or equivalent experience) in any subject relevant to these sectors, including but not limited to Data or Computer Science, Engineering, Political Science, International Security, Business Administration
- Are business fluent in English and German
- You are a values and mission driven person that truly wants to defend and enhance our democratic societies
- You are a high performer who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- You are collaborative and humble problem-solver
- You are ready to meet all necessary measures and requirements that are required to receive a security clearance according to the respective national laws
