Your responsibilities
- Responsible for complete, accurate and timely processing of payroll cycles, payments, statutory filings and reporting, based on payroll calendar.
- Validate all payroll inputs including workforce management, benefits and Workday (HCM).
- Receive, prepare, verify and upload payroll data upon which payroll will be calculated and reconciled.
- Ensure payments, statutory filings and reports are completed.
- Validate data quality of outbound interfaces sent to third-party providers.
- Problem-solve variances, data errors and processing/payment issues and provide recommended solutions.
- Adhere to process documentation, company policies, internal controls and payroll performance metrics.
- Perform tasks in compliance with local employment legislation and data protection.
- Develop and maintain relationships through effective and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as point of contact for payroll as well as time and attendance related queries.
- Provide necessary data and clarifications to questions raised by internal or external audit as needed.
- Act as a backup to other team members.
- Assist with various projects and duties as assigned.
Our requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration with a focus on human resources.
- Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in multi-country payroll.
- Experience with Workday (HCM) and time and attendance systems preferred.
- Process and solution-oriented thinking and acting.
- Able to analyze and evaluate issues with regard to legal and internal company processes.
- Discretion and trustworthiness.
- Thorough and meticulous with a good feel for facts and numbers.
- Proactive and independent way of working; dedicated and reliable.
- Ability to complete work assignments within required time constraints and meet critical deadlines.
- Reliability, ability to work in a team, attention to detail, customer service.
- High level of commitment and flexibility.
- Good communication with various departments and well versed in dealing with customers and employees.
- Knowledge on general payroll concepts (i.e., income tax, social security, pension, statutory leaves).
- Have an understanding of the dependencies and cooperation of payroll, finance and controlling.
- Good MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.) skills.
- Minimum German and English language skills at B2 level
