What you'll do
You’ll be joining us in Shared Services, where we provide the necessary platforms for trading, market and reference data, and products that are key enablers for other Commercial and Institutional domains.
Working in a permanent feature team, you’ll be developing, maintaining and architecting market data solutions for a real time trading platform. You’ll also be liaising with principal engineers, architects in the domain, and other key stakeholders, to understand how the platform works and how it supports business objectives. In addition you'll specialise in developing, supporting and maintaining market data feed handlers and API’s globally.
You’ll also be:
- Supporting and maintaining a global LSEG and TREP market data distribution platform
- Ensuring that the applications and services being built adhere and align to the organisations architectural direction and principles
- Working as part of an Agile SDLC methodology
- Liaising with lead engineers, architects, business analysts and other key stakeholders
- Delivering well thought out estimates, after a thorough consideration of design, build and testing of complexity, maintainability and serviceability
- Designing and developing high-volume, high-performance and high-availability applications using proven frameworks and technologies
The skills you'll need
We’re looking for someone with strong experience in the development of market data feed handlers globally, alongside experience in support and developing market data APIs in a range of languages, including C++ and .NET. Experience working with other languages such as Python, Perl, Bash, Java and tools such as Git would be advantageous.
Additionally you'll demonstrate:
- Extensive experience working with real time trading systems in the financial Fintech space, specifically in market data feed handlers
- Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems and tuning for low latency systems
- Experience in releasing software into a production environment
- A good network understanding including TCP, Multicast and shared memory
- Solid experience working with TREP, specifically Refinitiv, platform components such as ADH, ADS and RRCP
