Neko Health is a Swedish health-tech company co-founded in 2018 by Hjalmar Nilsonne and Daniel Ek. Neko has developed a new medical scanning technology concept to make it possible to do broad and non-invasive health data collection. This requires completely reimagining the healthcare experience and incorporating the latest advances in sensors and AI. Responsibilities:
- Legal Advisory: Support the General Counsel and provide strategic legal advice to the operations, engineering, clinical and regulatory teams on a wide range of legal issues including commercial law, data protection, compliance, IP, marketing and acquisitions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to inform strategy and facilitate business objectives, ensuring legal considerations are integrated into planning and decision making.
- Contract Management: Review and negotiate a range of commercial contracts, including software and technology agreements, collaborations, supplier agreements and leases to ensure they align with company objectives.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with our operations, technology and healthcare services expansion.
- Compliance: Monitor and advise on privacy and healthcare regulations in Sweden, UK, US, and other key markets including drafting and advising on data protection agreements, terms of service, privacy notices and other data related disclosures.
- Corporate Governance: Support in the development and implementation of risk and compliance policies and procedures maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements:
- Master of Laws (LL.M.) or equivalent legal degree in Sweden.
- 6-8 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a leading Swedish law firm or within a tech-focused in-house legal team.
- Proven experience in commercial and corporate law is highly desirable and related areas including IP and data protection, familiarity with healthcare regulations is a bonus.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of drafting and managing complex legal agreements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Swedish.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Commercially minded and able to deliver innovative and practical solutions at the intersection of law and disruptive technology.
- Collaborative and persuasive communicator capable of partnering with a range of stakeholders across the business.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate legal issues before they arise.
