We are currently looking for self-motivated and experienced individual to join our Internal Audit team. Individual will have prior experience in performing internal audit activities such as: risk assessments, controls testing and exception handling, report writing. We are particularly interested to hear from those individuals with global manufacturing experience. As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for planning, supervising and executing field audits, evaluating of internal controls, financial and management reporting, operational effectiveness, and business systems across the geographical footprint around the World.
Skills required:
- Experience and know-how of compliance and/or controls testing.
- A firm understanding of risk and compliance principles.
- A firm understanding of internal audit methodologies and IIA standards.
- Strong analytical skills, proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excels analytical tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Strong oral & written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high quality output.
- Willingness to dive deep into your own audits and support other audits.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-changing environment and ambiguous situations.
- Excellent planning, co-ordination, organisation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage and priorities workload.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform complex and challenging audit assignments, including the documenting of risk assessments, identification of key risks & mitigating controls.
- Perform design & operational effectiveness testing.
- Review group policies and regulatory requirements relevant to business practices and audit scope and apply these to controls testing criteria.
- Identify, document and communicate control gaps/deficiencies to internal and external stakeholders on a timely basis.
- Identify process efficiencies/enhancements in line with industry best practices.
- Document and negotiate remediation plans with auditees.
- Participate in writing the report.
- Carry out other ad-hoc tasks and projects as directed by audit senior management.
- Perform follow-up procedures on Internal Audit observations to ensure corrective actions have been appropriately implemented.
- Maintain open communication channels with stakeholders through regular governance sessions, escalating appropriately as and when required.
- Own the quality of all outputs and ensure internal document repositories are accurate and up to date.
- Liaise with external auditors in order to avoid duplication of efforts.
Required:
- Proven track record of at least 6 years as an auditor, either in multinational Internal Audit or BIG4 Internal/External Audit practice.
- Experience and business acumen gained while working for global manufacturing organization.
- Proven ability to effectively manage time, prioritize, and handle multiple concurrent tasks.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships and contribute to the efforts and accomplishments of individuals and teams throughout the organization.
- Excellent communications skills in English, including experience in written and oral reports and presentations to high-level management.
- Willingness and readiness to travel 25-35% of time.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- CIA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
