Neptune Pacific Direct Line (NPDL) operates market leading brands in shipping and logistics services across 18 Pacific Island markets. NPDL is the largest carrier in its core Pacific Island markets operating eight container ships and servicing 18 Pacific Island nations.
This role is to contribute to the development and delivery of people management strategies, supporting both the Company’s strategic aims and objectives. The Senior HR Advisor will be expected to contribute primarily at an operational level, with input at the strategic level as required. Specifically, this role will contribute to the delivery of the Company’s HR direction, providing sound advice and support to managers and staff on all aspects of people management in accordance with best practice and relevant legislation.
This Senior HR Advisor will have a focus on providing HR generalist services to allocated Fiji Business Units under the Neptune Pacific Line jurisdictions.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee records and employees’ personal files
- Participate in HR WOW projects and HR KPI’s
- Develop training and development programme
- Other functions as and when required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in business or human resources management or related discipline
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in human resources, preferably at a generalist HR advisory level
- Previous experience in international HR is advantageous
- Sound knowledge of current New Zealand employment legislation
- Experience in the initiation and implementation of human resources policies, procedures and development initiatives
- Sound problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience working in partnership with other leaders to build and strong and successful organisation
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver to tight deadlines
