The Role: Senior Frontend Engineer - Employee Lifecycle
We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our PET team, based in Munich (preferred) or Berlin. The PET team operates within the Employee Lifecycle area of the Employees and Organizations Product Area. Our focus is to drive efficiency for HR managers in managing core employee data and key lifecycle events, while also ensuring employees can easily access and govern their own data.
About the PET Team
Our team supports HR managers and employees in:

• Managing core employee data efficiently, reducing administrative overhead.
• Supporting key employee lifecycle events like promotions, rehiring, and terminations.
• Providing seamless access to employee information through transparent, intuitive interfaces.
• Enhancing integrations by maintaining P&E APIs and event-driven architecture.
• Collaborating across teams (e.g., Payroll, Workflows, Compensation) to ensure an end-to-end experience for customers.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and Optimize User Interfaces - Build elegant, scalable, and high-performing frontend components using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Enhance Developer Experience - Improve tooling, testing, and deployment pipelines for frontend development.
• Micro-Frontend Architecture - Design and maintain micro-frontends and mono-repositories to ensure modularity and scalability.
• Optimize Performance and UX - Enhance rendering strategies (CSR, SSR) to improve user experience and load times.
• Cross-Team Collaboration - Work closely with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver a seamless experience.
• Ensure Reliability and Testing - Implement robust testing strategies following the testing pyramid and maintain high-quality, maintainable code.

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of frontend engineering experience, with expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend architectures.
• Strong experience in client-side and server-side rendering (CSR, SSR) and optimizing Critical Render Path (CRP).
• Experience working with micro-frontends, mono-repositories, and frontend developer experience tools.
• Ability to translate technical strategies into actionable development plans.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on performance and scalability.
