Job Summary:

As a Senior FP&A Reporting Manager at BlueCat, you will be responsible for leading and managing both internal and external financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strategic insight. This role will oversee the preparation of financial reports, including the Monthly Business Review (MBR) deck, board presentations, lender reporting, and executive summaries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FP&A, financial storytelling, data visualization, and cross-functional collaboration to support key business decisions. This role will have direct exposure to the VP, FP&A and CFO.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Internal Reporting & Business Insights

• Lead the development and refinement of the Monthly Business Review (MBR) deck, ensuring clear, accurate, and impactful financial insights.

Consolidate and analyze financial data, providing key takeaways on revenue trends, expenses, profitability, and business performance.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, including variance analysis and performance metrics.

Collaborate with business leaders, FP&A, accounting and executive teams to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.

Enhance financial storytelling by developing clear, concise, and visually compelling reports and dashboards using tools such as PowerPoint, Tableau, and FP&A tools.

 

External Reporting & Compliance

Own and manage the timely and accurate submission of external reporting, including lender reports, investor updates, and board presentations.

Ensure consistency and alignment between internal forecasts and external financial statements.

Work closely with Accounting and Corporate Finance to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.

Prepare variance analyses and financial commentaries for external stakeholders.

 

Process Optimization & Automation

Improve reporting efficiency by implementing automation and data standardization across financial reports.

Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and enhance accuracy.

Implement best practices in financial reporting and leverage technology to enhance reporting capabilities.

Work closely with FP&A Systems, IT, and Data teams to enhance reporting tools and ensure seamless integration with ERP (NetSuite), FP&A tools (Pigment), BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI), and the data warehouse.

 

Forecasting & Ad-Hoc Analysis

Support forecasting and budgeting cycles, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.

Support the accounting team for the annual audit process.

Provide ad-hoc financial analyses and deep dives into key business drivers.

Develop scenario modeling and sensitivity analyses to evaluate business risks and opportunities.

  

Qualifications & Skills:

 

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field. MBA or CFA is a plus.

7+ years of experience in FP&A, financial reporting, corporate finance, or investment analysis, preferably in a SaaS, technology, or data-driven environment.

Proven experience managing monthly reporting, executive presentations, and external financial communications.

 

Technical & Analytical Skills

Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, financial modeling, and data visualization.

Experience with FP&A tools (Adaptive Insights, Pigment, Anaplan), ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP), and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).

Effective communication and presentation skills.

Excellent understanding of GAAP, financial metrics, and SaaS KPIs such as ARR, Gross Margin, and CAC/LTV.
