Job Description

The Red Gate Group is seeking a Senior Engineer/Technical Lead to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in Reston, VA. In this pivotal role, you will lead cross-functional software development teams and manage the integration of advanced technologies, ensuring seamless project execution and delivery. By translating strategic objectives into actionable project roadmaps, you will bridge the gap between technical teams and key stakeholders, helping DTRA meet critical national security objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead development and integration efforts for multiple software development teams.
  • Track and validate adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) while ensuring timely delivery of contract deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain project roadmaps aligned with client priorities and strategic objectives.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into executable plans.
  • Collaborate with IT executives, product owners, developers, and functional managers to define project scope and strategy.
  • Provide technical leadership in solutions architecture, ensuring technology solutions meet client needs.
  • Identify and mitigate risks proactively, driving solutions to resolution.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance (Required)
  • 5+ years of experience as a software or technical project manager.
  • 5+ years of experience in solutions or enterprise architecture with agile execution.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and deliver reliable technologies and tools.
  • Strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases, data warehouses, and AI/ML technologies.
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise technology solutions, including big-data architectures.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience or 9+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • DoD 8570 Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Scrum Master, Lead Architect, or Lead Business Analyst experience.
  • Expertise in enterprise application implementation and release management.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, Node.js, PHP, Ruby, Java, or C#.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, releases, and technologies.
  • Experience supporting the DoD or intelligence community.
  • Background in business process improvement or reengineering.
  • PMP and Agile Certifications are highly desirable.
  • Ability to identify risks early and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
