WHY JOIN ALO?

Mindful movement. It’s at the core of why we do what we do at Alo—it’s our calling. Because mindful movement in the studio leads to better living. It changes who yogis are off the mat, making their lives and their communities better. That’s the real meaning of studio-to-street: taking the consciousness from practice on the mat and putting it into practice in life.

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Senior Digital Business Analyst with experience in retail marketing and merchandising, and a passion for data-driven, repeatable, and rigorous analytics. The ideal candidate has a deep appreciation for the e-commerce landscape and understands that style and statistics go hand-in-hand. You’ll build actionable insights by studying user engagement/behavior and publishing your findings to real-time data dashboards; you’ll put those insights to work by collaborating with our Marketing, Product, Merchandising, and Data groups to design and launch experiments; and you’ll keep us agile by developing new metrics and custom reporting. If you’re an experienced analyst, with expertise in the e-commerce space and a desire to do impactful, visible work, we look forward to hearing from you.

You’re comfortable building reports from the ground up for new features & AB tests. You are familiar with various e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and are a self-motivated learner when it comes to exploring new data visualization tools such as heap or datastudio. Your goal is to discover performance opportunities within the shopping funnel (navigation-plp-pdp-cart-checkout) and communicate your insights to the business, thereby influencing the strategic product roadmap.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor site funnel metrics to discover traffic trends, click-through patterns, customer engagement, product performance, and purchasing patterns
  • Design, develop, and maintain reporting dashboards to tie those funnel metrics to Alo’s strategic business goals, so that key trends are recognized and acted upon quickly
  • Investigate product performance from a merchandise hierarchy perspective, in order to plan monthly merchandising category targets and to identify cross-sell/upsell opportunities
  • Collaboratively design and execute statistically-powered A/B tests with tools like Optimizely and Heap
  • Monitor, measure, and define metrics measuring business KPIs including AOV across the funnel
  • Associate new features and products with conversion and retention-based metrics
  • Address ad-hoc requests according to SLAs
  • Document and share your work, and contribute to a culture of data rigor

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 6+ years Professional Experience in Retail or eCommerce Analytics/Business Intelligence
  • Proficient in reconciling and reporting on data from many sources, including Shopify, Redshift, Heap, and FDM4
  • Experience with Python, Heap, Tableau, GA or similar tools to transform and visualize data.
  • Strong verbal, written, & presentation skills, with ability to communicate advanced analytics to non-technical executives & cross-functional stakeholders.

What We Do

Mindful movement. It’s at the core of why we do what we do at Alo—it’s our calling. Because mindful movement in the studio leads to better living. It changes who yogis are off the mat, making their lives and their communities better. That’s the real meaning of studio-to-street: taking the consciousness from practice on the mat and putting it into practice in life.
That’s why we started Alo —to spread good: to anyone who is experiencing the transformative power of yoga, to the world’s best yogis who wear Alo to practice because it’s the only line that actually elevates their practice, to the celebrities and the fashion-forward who wear Alo because it’s the perfect street brand, comfortable, contemporary and decidedly not just for the mat.
Creating garments that carry over to the street, into a life lived consciously, takes mindful movement one step further: a beautiful life celebrated with beautiful design. Capturing what’s trending in contemporary fashion with both the women’s and men’s collections makes it so Alo can travel beyond the studio. Luxury meets performance in every collection.
Mindful movement carries over to life at Alo, where there’s a solar-powered office, yoga five days a week for employees at our on-site gym, electric-car charging stations, an advanced recycling program that reduces waste to that of a small household, and meetings outside by the fountains in our meditative Zen garden. We have a gong. And we use it. Our stores are designed to be places to commune—people and ideas mingle over organic juice, kombucha and coffee. And the airy yoga studio and roof deck at our Beverly Hills flagship store is where it’s really happening. There’s even a super-sized cosmic mural on one wall—come by for some astral travel (or just to take an Instagram pic).
