CLA is looking to add a Senior – Deal Services member to our Minneapolis, MN family.
The Senior (Transaction Advisory/Deal Services) specifically provides financial due diligence, Quality of Earnings and mergers & acquisitions advisory consulting services to clients who are engaging in merger & acquisition activity, while building client relationships and assuring continued close personal attention to client needs. The Senior is responsible for identifying, quantifying, and communicating key deal issues and communicating the impact to clients in a timely and effective manner, both verbally and in a formal written report.
The Senior is also responsible for training and coaching new staff members in preparation to take on more complex assignments and additional engagements. The Senior demonstrates project leadership qualities by assuming supervisory role, and delegating work effectively, managing associate capacity and hours commitments. Schedules tend to be highly variable and demanding over multiply simultaneous projects making time management and accuracy under pressure essential skills for success.
- Service Specialization: Clients may be in any industry with a need for a technical expert, or the Senior may be industry focused. Service specialists focus development within a particular service (and sometimes a secondary service). These individuals possess a deep knowledge of a service first and foremost, which transcends multiple industries or one particular industry. Person has a deep knowledge of the full suite of service capabilities CLA can provide and is capable of bringing their particular service to any client (knowing when to bring in other internal specialists).
- SAS/Transaction Advisory/Deal Services: Performs the detail work of financial due diligence, lead client calls, review associate work, and other transaction deal services for clients. Collects and analyzes data to detect key financial risks in mergers & acquisitions. Helps build original detailed reports on due diligence findings for communication to clients. Supports multiple client engagements of varying size and complexity, on time and within budget, and communications progress and results to supervisors. Keep manager/principal aware of engagement status and problem areas. Completes assigned portions of engagements with consistency and accuracy and within tight time frames. Proactively interact and communicate with clients and other advisors to gather information to ensure timely engagement wrap-up. Analyze and review complex areas/transactions as well as prepare Quality of Earnings and related reports. Directing and leading engagements at the two-year level.
- Supervisory: Schedule, delegate, and review the work of Associates. Supervise, train, and mentor Associates.
Requirements:
Experience
- Two years of experience as an Associate or equivalent industry/service experience. Manufacturing industry experience preferred
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Certifications / Licenses
- Eligible to sit for CPA or other post-graduate degree or relevant industry/service certification.
Technical Competencies
- General knowledge of accounting principles and/or regulations impacting each engagement or project, financial markets, analysis and reporting of financial data. Business writing and communication. Understand internal software systems including Pfx Engagement, Microsoft Team, etc. Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products.
Travel
- This position requires frequent local travel to/from client sites and may require occasional non-local or overnight travel for client visits, training, meetings and/or other business-related purposes.
The wage range for this position is: $77,900.00 – $119,000.00
Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.
