Are you an expert in data engineering, with a passion for securing and optimizing global supply chains? We are seeking a Data Engineer SME to join our multidisciplinary team and make a significant impact on our mission to minimize risks in supply chain activities.
As a Data Engineer SME, you will collaborate with supply chain, technology, and analyst experts to implement analytics and a web-based user interface that supports the discovery of threats and anomalies. Your role will be crucial in researching and analyzing potential supply chain events, generating collection requirements, and supporting supply chain operation executors and consumers.
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipeline architectures
- Collaborate with team members and mission partners to implement analytics and user interfaces
- Analyze and manipulate large datasets to extract valuable insights
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies
- Develop and test data validation methods and analysis tools
You may thrive in this role if you have the following skills:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with Linux, Unix, or Windows
- Proven experience in building/optimizing "big data" data pipelines, architectures, and datasets
- Experience with data warehousing solutions
You may excel in this role if you have the following skills:
- Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and big data tools
- Experience with data transformation, data structures, metadata, and workload management
- Strong background in compliance, data governance, and security policies
- Proficiency in Python and JavaScript for web/HTML development
- Experience with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
