Job Description
Purpose
We are seeking a Senior Data Lakehouse Developer to lead the Data Transformation area of our Lakehouse platform. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data models and transformations that power business insights across HR, Finance, Sales, and other key domains. As a technical leader, you will shape our Lakehouse architecture, mentor data engineers, and ensure the performance and scalability of the Silver and Gold layers. This role requires expertise in data modeling, advanced proficiency in dbt, and hands-on experience with Databricks and Delta Lake. You will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and fostering best practices in data transformation and modeling.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Design and Develop: Create scalable, high-quality data models that align with business requirements using advanced data modeling techniques (e.g., star schema, SCD, data vault, 3NF, or hybrid approaches).
- Lead Transformations: Develop and optimize transformations at scale using dbt, leveraging features like modular transformations, lineage tracking, and testing frameworks.
- Collaborate: Work closely with domain teams (HR, Finance, Sales) to translate business needs into efficient and scalable data solutions.
- Orchestrate Workflows: Design and implement scalable workflows using orchestration tools to ensure seamless integration between data ingestion and transformation layers.
- Foster Best Practices: Drive best practices in dbt project structuring, CI/CD pipelines, testing and performance tuning to ensure scalability, maintainability, and cost efficiency in data transformations.
- Mentor and Guide: Provide technical mentorship to data engineers, fostering a high-quality development culture and guiding junior team members.
- Ensure Governance: Implement Databricks Unity Catalog governance practices, ensuring robust data security, access control, and lineage tracking.
Qualifications
YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU:
- Bring Technical Expertise: Have extensive hands-on experience with dbt (large-scale projects, performance optimization) and advanced knowledge of Databricks and Delta Lake.
- Excel in Data Modeling: Demonstrate mastery of various data modeling techniques, choosing and justifying the right approach for each use case.
- Lead Effectively: Provide strong technical leadership and coordination for transformation activities, ensuring alignment with the overall Lakehouse architecture.
- Collaborate Seamlessly: Work effectively with teams across domains and functions, including Central Onboarding and domain teams, to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Focus on Results: Deliver high-performing and maintainable solutions while driving innovation and scalability in the Silver and Gold layers.
- Adapt and Innovate: Stay ahead of industry trends, continuously learning and applying new tools, techniques, and best practices in data transformation.

Salary
Final salary is negotiable.
We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 3100€ /brutto.
