Job Description

Our data team has expertise across engineering, analysis, architecture, modeling, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science. This discipline is responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights, building robust data infrastructures, and enabling data-driven decision-making and innovation through advanced analytics and predictive modeling. 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic Data Engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize data systems and architecture, ensuring efficient data processing and accessibility to support business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop the architecture for the data pipelines and implement it using Python and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) 
• Collaborate with the data architect to create and maintain source to target mapping documentation 
• Identify, document, and develop measures to visualize and record source data and data pipeline quality objectives 
• Experience with data migration projects between systems hosted in different hosting environments (on-premises, AWS, Azure, etc.) 
• Contribute to agile ceremonies, size tasks and deliverables

Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience: 4+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and data modeling.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and related data services.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Knowledge of big data tools and frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
• Strong expertise in SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS Tabular Model, and Power BI.
• Experience with ETL design, data warehousing, and data pipeline optimization.
• Hands-on knowledge of data modeling concepts (conceptual, logical, physical) for BI and analytics use cases.
• Familiarity with modern reporting tools.
• Ability to integrate Python-based machine learning models into data workflows is a plus.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
