1. Carry out design review of C&S and geotechnical design and analysis for coastal structures such as quay wall, port, jetty, revetment and land reclamation etc. for local and/or oversea projects2.Assist the Design Manager to coordinate, manage, and oversee all design related matters including:
- Ensure design coordination, document submission from Contractor is in accordance with the time schedule
- Ensure Instructions issued by Employers are coordinated with the Contractors
- Study and review of submissions from the Contractors
- Resolve design discrepancies or technical conflicts which may arise from the Contractor while carrying out the construction works
- Co-ordinate with Contract and Construction team and provide necessary information or correspondences on changes which deviate from the contract and may lead to time and cost implications.
- Chair all design coordination meetings.
3. Assist the Project Lead / Project Manager to carry out:
- review on plan for Site investigation and result interpretation,
- review on C&S, environmental and geotechnical design and analysis for coastal structures such as quay wall, port, jetty, revetment and land reclamation (i.e.: deep and shallow foundation, temporary and permanent retaining system, soil improvement, instrumentation, etc.)
- managing subcontracts (i.e.: soil investigation contract, Accredited Checker contract, biodiversity contract etc.)
- managing main contracts
- Supervise both design and/or site work
4. Prepare technical reports and submission to Clients and Authorities (i.e: GIR, concept design, detailed design, risk assessment, ground improvement, etc.)5. Ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant statutory standards, regulations and Codes of Practice6. Engage and manage stakeholders, such as clients, design team, site team and other relevant parties7. Support on pursue project: assist in tender submission8. Assist in other Coastal department activities i.e.: beach clean-up, sports day, etc.
