We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our Product Development team at Prudential to support Group Insurance product delivery. This role is pivotal in defining business requirements, analyzing existing processes and systems, and ensuring practical and effective solutions are built within existing business rules.  The Senior Business Analyst role emphasizes a holistic approach to end-to-end experiences, operating within an Agile framework.  In addition to applied analytical and technical experience, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.

The current employee work arrangement for this position is dependent on the business preferences and your location, potentially requiring your on-site presence on occasion at a Prudential office.

What you can expect:

  • Working closely with the Product Owner ensuring the team is focused on the right priorities

  • Work on an Agile Delivery Team(s) to help drive change and transformation for Group Insurance implementations by enhancing methodology, creating repeatable process and documentation

  • Collaborate with Journey Teams and Business Subject Matter Experts to define and document business requirements

  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions

  • Support the Product Owner and be able to act independently to coordinate with stakeholders and Journey Teams leading key parts of the product vision

  • Demonstrate capacity to communicate complex and technical solutions to non-technical audiences

  • Understanding and documenting data flows and the flow between complex, integrated systems

  • Facilitating meetings with Business Functional Teams, Development and QA Teams when gathering requirements or problem solving

  • Perform various testing and QA functions as necessary and lead User Acceptance Testing and User Training

  • Understand that this job is not about knowing the answers, but finding them

  • Assess and document business needs, ensuring that any changes are effectively controlled and communicated for an Operational Readiness perspective

  • Effectively communicating plans, progress, dependencies, and risks across cross-functional team members and leadership

  • Manage competing resources and priorities.

  • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.

  • Develop proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and AGILE tools (JIRA, MIRO)

What you’ll need:

  • Group Insurance product implementation experience

  • Understanding of Group Insurance product provisions, rules, and data.

  • 5+ years professional experience as a business analyst within insurance industry, insurance contracts and/or policy issue

  • Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD)

  • Knowledge of business concepts, tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the product and company’s business

  • Demonstrated success working on cross-functional teams that achieve long-term goals while managing short-term challenges

  • Excellent execution and business partner skills, along with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Applied experience with project management, planning, progress monitoring, and status reporting

  • Applied analytical and technical experience, excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills

  • Ability to influence and negotiate with key decision makers

  • Requirement documentation and facilitation

  • Data Analysis and data driven decision making experience

What we offer you:Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $92,400.00 to $137,400.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
