Job Details
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for collecting, documenting, and confirming business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Responsible for BA activities for New Business Program Launches, Web Development and Integrations with Clients and Third Parties.
  • Performs BA activities, as part of the Project Team for Large Enterprise Projects.
  • Works in close collaboration with clients, business partners, solution architect and developers to ensure consistent understanding of business processes and requirements.
  • Work closely with QA team to review test plans and associated test case scenarios.
  • Establishes effective relationships with other business units and software vendors; builds and maintains effective business partner relationships.
  • Assists with tasks and deliverables related to System Development Life Cycle phases for package and custom solutions.
  • Attends and participates in project meetings, facilitates project status meetings; tracks project status as required for BA activities.
  • Investigates and documents project issues and detailed requirements.
  • Frequently interacts with IT staff including business area management, portfolio managers, vendors, consultants and other contractors.
  • Represents IT Business Analysists with clients to gain clear understanding of project scope and requirements.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 35% of the time.


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor's degree in business or related field or an MBA
  • BA accreditation though IIBA or similar governing body
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years' direct experience in business analysis or a related field

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good relationship building skills
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions

  • Good mathematical skills
  • Good leadership skills
  • Knowledge of computers to operative effectively with network and desktop technologies; computer software includes application development lifecycle, MS Office Suite and Outlook
  • A history of leading and supporting successful projects
