We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Lead to set up, manage, and optimize testing frameworks for an end-to-end eCommerce platform. The ideal candidate will have good experience in Playwright and JavaScript, with the ability to build and manage automated testing frameworks that cover the entire e-commerce lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring high-quality releases and smooth user experiences across web and mobile platforms.

Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience working in a software engineering environment.
- Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and Playwright for end-to-end test automation.
- Proven experience in working within retail environments, particularly in eCommerce. Able to collaborate with both technical and business teams to optimize customer experiences.
- Solid track record of working with both onshore and offshore teams, utilizing asynchronous communication to ensure timely delivery.
- Strong hands-on QA skills and experience in improving product quality by working closely with developers, business analysts, customer service, and operations teams.
- Ability to define and drive test strategies across multiple levels of testing (functional, regression, and performance) with a focus on comprehensive end-to-end coverage.
- Proven experience implementing and managing automated test frameworks and environments across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), as well as Waterfall, with an ability to adapt to the team’s needs.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, using monitoring tools to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the testing process.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to raise challenges, provide suggestions, and build consensus.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Testing Framework Setup: Take charge of designing, setting up, and managing automated testing frameworks for eCommerce platforms.
- End-to-End Testing Strategy: Drive end-to-end testing strategies for eCommerce environments, ensuring comprehensive test coverage from the front end to back end, including mobile testing where necessary.
- Collaboration: Work with development, business, and product teams to ensure tests align with business goals and user needs. Collaborate across onshore and offshore teams using asynchronous communication to maintain pace and productivity.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, sharing best practices for test design, development, and execution, while fostering a culture of quality across the team.
- Automation and Performance: Lead the development and maintenance of automation scripts, focusing on both functional and performance tests. Improve test efficiency and reliability to deliver fast feedback loops.
- Test Coverage & Reporting: Take full ownership of expanding test coverage, improving the quality of the eCommerce product, and tracking/reporting test results using monitoring tools to identify and address bottlenecks.
- QA Leadership: Drive quality improvements, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product releases. Establish and maintain test environments, ensuring they align with development and business needs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate testing progress and challenges to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring all parties are aligned on testing goals and outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain clear, concise documentation of test strategies, results, and environments, ensuring transparency and knowledge sharing across teams.
