Senior Analyst, Technical Accounting

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Analyst, Technical accounting to join our accounting team. In this role, you will provide expert guidance on complex accounting issues, ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. You will collaborate with various departments to support financial reporting and strategic initiatives

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

• Technical Accounting Expertise:
  • Analyze and interpret complex accounting standards under US GAAP and provide guidance on their application.
  • Review non-standard contracts and conclude on appropriate accounting treatment.
• Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare technical accounting position papers and memos for management and external auditors.
  • Review financial statements and footnotes for compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, operations, purchasing, commercial finance) to assess the accounting implications of new transactions, contracts, and business initiatives.
  • Provide training and support to finance staff on technical accounting matters.
• Audit Support:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors on technical accounting issues and financial statement audits.
  • Coordinate the preparation of schedules and documentation needed for audit processes.
• Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance internal controls.
  • Develop and maintain technical accounting policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
• CPA preferred
• 3-7 years of experience in public accounting and/or external financial reporting for a public company
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage and develop others
• Capable of leading large complex projects
• Able to perform in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to effectively communicate with foreign operations
