This position is available in either our Oakville or London, Ontario office.

As a Senior Advisor, Application & Integration Services, you will be accountable to provide day-to-day task management and distribution of work to others on the team. You participate in weekly team meetings and provide updates on the team’s work progress to management.  By participating in team projects and initiatives, you will act as an advisor to both the team and management who rely on this role for technical guidance to enhance the quality and efficiency of the Technical Services team. In addition, provide guidance and direction to team members on technologies and solutions and review, maintain and provide ongoing improvements to the general environment for all hardware and software.

HERE’S HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Support a variety of technologies, business departments and systems, and independently resolve problems and pro-actively communicate solutions
  • Remain current on IT issues by acquiring and maintaining knowledge of relevant products and initiatives
  • Research tools and processes to evaluate their usefulness to departmental and corporate needs
  • Support department policies by providing technically accurate solutions to end users within the provided guidelines
  • Enhance the quality and efficiency of the Technical Services team by participating in team projects and initiatives
  • Ensure the delivery, availability and provide subject matter technical expertise on infrastructure in support of project initiatives
  • Investigate and participate as a 3rd level SME in resolution of system problems to ensure maximum availability of the infrastructure and systems
  • Review, maintain and provide ongoing improvements to the general environment for all hardware and software
  • Provide day-to-day oversight for tasks and distribution of work to others within the team
  • Lead and participate in weekly team meetings and provide updates on the team’s tasks and work items to team lead / management
  • Provide guidance and direction to the team members on technologies and solutions

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • 12+ years of practical and technical knowledge required.
  • Skills should be specific to Microsoft technology operations.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft server and platform products.
  • Good level to theoretical skills and knowledge are required base on education requirement.
  • Understanding of Wintel technology standards and they must be able to configure infrastructure for fast, secure, reliable solutions
  • Knowledge of Microsoft security principles
  • Knowledge of 3rd party products but not limited to the following: IBM MQ, OpenText Content Server, Archive Server, RightFax, MS BizTalk, Cloud Technologies
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot server and application issues quickly and identify the source of a problem
