Senior Accountant

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant is a highly skilled and experienced professional responsible for performing advanced level accounting tasks. This position plays a key role in the monthly close process for the FTVS, Advertising, and Live Entertainment business divisions, focusing on revenue recognition, gross profit calculations, as well as supporting the rebate process. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will also handle complex accounting tasks and occasionally review the work of lower-level staff. The role requires a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and proficiency in using top-tier ERP systems, such as Oracle or SAP.

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly journal entries, with a focus on revenue recognition and gross profit calculations, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain rebate schedules, including accruals, processing, and payments. Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for accurate rebate recording.
  • Utilize data warehouse tools to analyze large datasets, extract meaningful insights, and support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to ensure accurate tracking of client-specific revenues and costs in the general ledger.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of non-cash GL accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Ensure timely balancing and settlement of intercompany transactions.
  • Assist in preparing gross profit reports and conduct financial analysis as needed.
  • Prepare schedules and provide necessary information to external auditors.
  • Support other ad-hoc projects and duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications

  • Top Tier ERP system experience (Oracle, SAP, etc.) required
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Excel champion (If Statements, Macros, Pivots, VLOOKUP)
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a structured accounting department
  • Possesses excellent communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and stakeholders
  • Exhibits strong analytical skills with ability to concisely and clearly summarize complex financial analyses
  • Able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks under daily deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer public accounting experience
  • Prefer entertainment (production, live events) experience

Special Work Conditions    

  • Sedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.

The compensation range for this position is:

$85,000$100,000 USD
